The National Academies Press ships orders worldwide. If you are an international customer, you may be able to save money and receive your order quickly if you contact one of our international distributors.
Shipping time is determined first by availability of the book and by the shipping service you select. When selecting a shipping and handling method, remember to add 1-2 business days to the transit time for processing.
- Business days are Monday through Friday. We are closed on most U.S. holidays.
- Please note that Next Day Delivery does not mean you will receive the package tomorrow if you place your order today. One to two business days are needed to process your order before it ships. If you need something urgently, contact our Customer Service Department.
Some delivery options may not be available in your area. The National Academies Press reserves the right to make appropriate adjustments in the shipping method to ensure proper delivery. We reserve the right to review the shipping costs for large weighted shipments. Should an adjustment be necessary you will be notified for approval prior to processing. Please contact email@example.com if you have any questions about fullfillment and shipping.
International Duties and Taxes
Please note that our shipping and handling charges do not include international duties or taxes, which may be applicable to your shipment. This is a separate charge paid directly to the courier upon receipt of the package by the recipient. We have no way to determine this cost in advance. This additional charge is imposed through your customs department and is the sole responsibility of the recipient.
Shipping to APO and FPO Addresses
We use the United States Postal Service to ship orders to APO and FPO addresses.
Tracking Your Order
All shipments sent by UPS are trackable. If you contact our Customer Service Department, we can provide your order tracking numbers so you can track your packages.
Shipments sent by book post cannot be tracked. They are handled by the U.S. postal service and are not assigned tracking numbers. There is no way to verify delivery or chart the progress of a mailed package once it leaves our warehouse.
